deWiz™ LoB is a distance measurement of your backswing. It indicates how far back you swing your hands. Depending which arm you wear your deWiz™ device on, the LoB measurements will vary. Only compare data from the same hand.
How long should my backswing be?
deWiz™ is a personalized swing modifier that gives you the exact length of your backswing. There is no number that is better or worse, but generally a longer swing gives you the possibility to create more power in your golf swing.
Your deWiz™ Length of Backswing depends on your physique and your swing style.
Use deWiz™ to find your optimal Length of Backswing by trying various backswings and monitoring your numbers as you practice.
How should I use the Length of Backswing (LoB)?
The Length of Backswing (LoB) can be used for checking your LoB, lengthening or shortening your LoB. But you can also use your LoB in order to get distance control with your full shots.
Example
Your full swing seven iron is 135 cm. Let's say that this swing gives you a carry of 140 m. Your 8 iron LoB is also 135 cm and carries 130 m. One way to bridge the gap between your clubs is to shorten your 7 iron swing to about 130 cm in order to carry the ball 135 m. This swing would be a “7 iron minus”.
